December has been a month of panic moments, I feel. On the one side, I learned to create my own cover files (still waiting on the proof copies to come in to verify I did a good job, but I’m very hopeful).
It took me much longer than I expected to get interior files finalized for launch of Tristan’s Choice and boy was I panicked when I realized I had scenes out of order after sending out review copies!
Had another panic moment when I discovered that I couldn’t rush the proof copies and I would be lucky if they arrived by January 15. Fortunately, the first is scheduled to arrive Friday, so at least I’ll have SOME warning if I screwed up…
But in spite of all that, I’m hopeful to continue my publishing schedule without interruption. There will be hiccups, I’m BOUND to screw up, but as long as I keep picking myself up again, it’ll be fine.
Lessons Learned:
- Still having trouble with consistency on Mondays and my days off.
- Need to stop assigning goals that are beyond my needs to publish on time.
